Eurotherm Thyristors & Power Control
Eurotherm’s Thyristors are specifically designed to manage power within a heating system, maximising energy efficiency and productivity in manufacturing. Eurotherm EPower
The EPower is the most advanced thyristor power controller in the Eurotherm range, designed for complex and extremely high-powered applications.
The EPower consists of a single driver module and can cater up to 4 power modules producing a maximum of 630A. However, the EPower can be used in decentralised power control application catering to power outputs from 800A to 4000A. Each power module supports single-phase and multi-phase control, highlighting the EPowers' adaptability to cater to multiple machines' consumption needs simultaneously. The most notable feature of EPower is Predictive Load Management, or PLM. This feature is essentially an algorithm that enables two types of load management: load balancing and load shedding.
The load balancing selection enables different loads to be maintained in a stable and balanced overall power consumption, eliminating peaks and flickers over a system. Alternatively, load shedding prioritises critical loads, temporarily reducing non-essential loads and providing the benefit of overload prevention and efficient power management.
The Eurotherm EPower remains a tried-and-tested power management solution for any high-powered heating application as it enables greater control, precision and flexibility where needed.
Eurotherm EPack & EPack Lite
The Eurotherm EPack range caters to lower amperage heating applications than its EPower counterpart. It is compact and designed for quick and easy installation and system integration. The EPack delivers power efficiency, power cost savings, and precise consistent quality control over the heating process.
The EPack range is configurable to your application's unique needs with digital communications, such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and Profinet digital communications. Additionally, EtherCAT is also available and unique for the single-phase model.
The EPack is a compact DIN rail-mounted heating control solution featuring a fanless design. Models cater to one, two, and three-phase control options. The Epack features a wide voltage range from 100V to 500V, supporting a maximum current of up to 125A.
For applications requiring less complex arrangements, the EPack Lite variation fills this gap. The Lite range are designed specifically for applications that won’t require future configuration changes or digital communications, essentially set and forget for OEM installations. Stripped-down from non-critical features, the EPack Lite delivers on the same EPack Power saving capabilities, at a cost-effective price.
Eurotherm EFIT
Like the EPack Lite, the EFit is a stripped-back silicone-controlled rectifier designed for lower-output heating applications. The EFit range is a compact DIN rail-mounted power control limited to single-phase power and suited for applications requiring power up to 50A. Configured to the customer's specifications from the manufacturer, the EFit is a plug-and-play solution installed in the application's power cabinet and is ready to go.
Eurotherm ESwitch
The ESwitch is a digital power switch designed to replace mechanical contact switchers, significantly improving the productive lifetime of equipment's electrical contacts.
