Humidity and Temperature Probe
The Vaisala HMP110 is a robust sensor designed for accurate measurement of humidity and temperature. The HMP110 uses a thin-film capacitive sensor for measuring relative humidity (RH). When the air's humidity changes, the dielectric constant of the sensor's polymer layer changes, altering its capacitance. This change in capacitance is converted into an electrical signal, which is processed to give an RH reading. The temperature is measured using a Platinum Resistance Thermometer (PRT), typically a PT1000 sensor. The PRT sensor measures temperature based on the principle that the electrical resistance of platinum changes with temperature. The change in resistance is accurately converted into a temperature reading. The processed signals are then output as either analog (voltage or current) or digital signals (RS-485 Modbus RTU).
