SIL2 Certified Draw Wire Encoder

The TWK SWEKN is a compact and resilient cable drawn displacement sensor designed to measure linear displacements for up to 8 meters. The sensor comes with it own integrated absolute single turn encoder that has a CANopen Safety Interface, which is SIL2 certified, making it ideal for safety sensitive applications. The combination of the draw wire drum and the encoder allows linear motion to be converted to rotary motion through a stainless steel cable and gear mechanism, making sure precision and consistent tension is maintained. The whole mechanism is house in a durable PA6 plastic, offering protection rating of IP67/IP69K and operates in temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C. There are multiple measuring ranges and electrical variations available so that the device is suitable for a variety of industrial needs.
