LVDT Transducers with IP68 Option
The DCW series LVDT transducers from RDP Electronics are perfect for any application where you need a device that could be splashed by or become submersed in non-corrosive fluids.
With the standard connector arrangement, the DCW LVDT transducer series achieves an IP68 (10bar) rating, once the connector is fitted.
These LVDT transducers require a supply voltage of 24VDC and have a 2-wire 4-20mA output.
An example application is in a mining industry on the tail end of a machine shaft. The IP integrity is required because of the high humidity environment and presence of high volumes of coal dust.
The big advantage of the LVDT sensor's principle is that there is no electrical contact across the transducer position sensing element, which gives you clean data, infinite resolution and a very long life. They are ideal for any application, where repeated and rapid movement needs to be monitored.
