Machines communicate through vibrations, but raw sensor data doesn't tell the whole story. Monitran's systems do more than just measure – they interpret vibration patterns, display real-time values, continuously monitor machinery and take action during dangerous vibration levels.

With a large range of monitoring systems available, Monitran safeguards industrial machinery through advanced vibration analysis.

Portable Vibration Meters

These handheld devices are ideal for spot measurements around the plant, providing flexibility and ease of use for quick vibration checks. Portable vibration meters allow users to measure vibration at any point on a machine, making them essential for routine inspections and troubleshooting. They are particularly useful when a simple device is sufficient to confirm that machinery is operating within tolerance.

Monitron offers two types of portable vibration meters, the MTN/VM220 and MTN/VM330D. Both are designed to conform to ISO10816-3 and operate with a constant current accelerometer providing an accurate vibration measurement.

Vibration Switches

The MTVS0004 is a single-channel vibration switch integrates sensors with a measuring and alarm unit. It offers a low-cost, simple-to-install solution for protecting rotating machinery such as motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes.

The MTVS0004 features a durable case with a high IP rating suitable for harsh industrial environments. It measures velocity compatible with ISO10816 Machine Vibration Severity Test and can be set with appropriate alarm and trip levels. The device can be configured with either latching or non-latching alarm relays, providing options for manual reset or automatic resumption of operation.

Multi-Channel Monitoring Systems

The MTN/5032 is a microcontroller-based system offering extreme versatility. It features a colour display, constant sensor status monitoring, and initiates alarm when necessary. The system can be integrated with other control systems and various sensor types, not limited to vibration sensors. Housed in a stainless steel enclosure (IP57), it provides continuous monitoring and is suitable for a wide range of condition monitoring applications.

Signal Processing

These modules process AC outputs from constant-current accelerometers, providing vibration signals that can be continuously monitored via PLCs and controllers. They offer options for measuring RMS velocity or acceleration, peak acceleration, or envelope g for monitoring overall machine or bearing vibrations.

These modules allow for integration with existing control systems, enabling constant vibration monitoring and analysis. The MTN/8006, MTN/8065 & MTN/8066 are particularly useful for converting vibration sensor outputs into formats that can be easily interpreted by industrial control systems for ongoing machine health monitoring.
