Harting hoods and housings are designed to protect the connections against environmental factors, such as shocks, humidity, dust, water or other fluids like oil, cleaning agents, gas, and coolants.
All Harting hoods and housings are rated with IP65 ingress protection.
Types of Hoods and Housings
Standard for Industrial Connectors - Excellent mechanical and electrical protection in demanding environments like automobile and mechanical engineering industries, as well as for process and regulation control applications.
Han M for More Demanding Environmental Requirements - These are suitable for use in aggressive environments with extreme atmospheric conditions, like mining, renewable energy, and oil and gas.
Han EMC for Higher Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements - These are applicable for sensitive interconnections that must be shielded against electrical, magnetic, or electro-magnetic interferences.
Han HPR for Harsh Outdoor Environments – These are appropriate for external electrical connections in vehicles, or in highly demanding environments and wet areas, as well as for sensitive wirings.
Han-INOX for Harsh Environments – Most suitable for mechanical and electrical protection in demanding environments of the food industry, automobile, mechanical engineering, and for process and regulation control applications.
Han-Eco – Lightweight - Are made of high-performance polyamide plastic, which are applicable for industrial and outdoor applications.
Han-Yellock – Compact – These are suitable for machinery and robotics, and are made from the combination of different materials – zinc die cast, aluminium, stainless steel, and polyamide.
