ESI Pressure Transmitters
An ESI pressure transmitter is a measuring device that is very similar to a pressure transducer. They both convert one form of energy to another, and then provide an output signal electronically or visually.
These signals are communicated to a connected device, which translates them into useful data for your monitoring and record-keeping purposes. The difference is that ESI pressure transmitters send signals in currents, or milliamps (mA).
It is important to note that transmitters and transducers do not change or control pressure.
How do you decide which one to use? For long distance applications, pressure transmitters are the best option as they are less susceptible to signal loss, and are more resistant to electrical interference.
ESI pressure transmitters use the same Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) technology that ESI is known for, so you can guarantee that you are getting a highly reliable, durable and accurate pressure measurement device.
ESI pressure transmitters are available in different types:
-
General Purpose Transmitter – ESI GS4200 Series – Pressure ranges to 1,500 bar, with titanium pressure port, high resistance to overpressure and pressure transients, DNV GL approved, ATEX/IECEx option available.
-
High Pressure Transmitter - ESI HP1000 Series – designed to meet demanding environments like aerospace, laboratory and test, oil and gas monitoring, high-pressure applications and general industrial environments.
-
ESI PM1001 – 4-digit LED plug-on display for use with pressure transducers with 4-20mA two-wire output, and fitted with DIN43650 connector.
-
Other types available: general purpose, hydrogen, high and low pressure, submersible and heavy-duty.
