Solid state relays can reduce downtime and reliability of your plant, as they have no mechanical or moving parts which can wear out.
Solid state relays are also silent in operation, which makes your plant room quieter. Something, that should help ease the workplace health and safety officers mind.
Electrical interference can be reduced or eliminated using a zero switched solid-state relay.
As with most electronic devices, attention should be paid to the ambient temperature that the solid-state relay is to be used in. The data sheet displays a derating curve, be sure to check this if the ambient temperature is going to be higher than 25°C. You may need to select a larger solid-state relay than originally anticipated.
